CLEO WILLIAMS

OSCEOLA - Mr. Cleo Williams, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, 68, of Osceola, Indiana, departed this life on Friday, December 30, 2011, at his residence with his wife and granddaughter at his bedside. Cleo was born August 30, 1943, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the union of Alexander and Ella Williams. At an early age his family moved from Little Rock to South Bend, Indiana.
He attended Woodrow Wilson Elementary and Washington High School. Cleo was a Vietnam veteran who served from 1965 until 1967 in the United States Army.
On December 4, 1966, in Chicago, Illinois, Cleo and Jennie Mae Wilcox were united in Holy Matrimony.
Cleo was employed by the Bendix Corporation for 15 years and retired from the Department of Defense with 23 years of service as a Quality Control Assurance Inspector. Also, he was an avid Chicago Bears fan and golfer.
Cleo was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Ella Williams; a son, Christopher Cleo Williams; and his brothers, Robert, Jerry, James and Joseph Williams.
Cleo leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Jennie; his son, Todd Williams of Indianapolis, IN; his daughter, Desiree Willams; his grandchildren, Dana and her husband, Mike Klonsinski of Mishawaka, IN, Christopher, Hillary, Carissa, Mercedes, Madison, Crystina, Devon, Chantel, Ryan and Heather King; his great-grandchildren, Brehanna, Taiyden, Jalen and Naliya; sisters, Carolyn Williams and Christine (Curtis) Orr, both of South Bend, IN, Evelyn (Alex) Martin of Cleveland, OH, and Antonia Thomas of Atlanta, GA; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Services for Mr. Williams will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Alford's Mortuary where arrangements have been entrusted. Friends may call one hour prior to the services. Messages of condolence may be e-mailed to alfordsmortuary@att.net, c/o the Williams family.
