SOUTH BEND - Ryan A. Voreis, 22, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2012, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

Ryan was born August 29, 1990, to Richard Voreis and Deborah (Black) Schaefer, who survive along with grandparents, Virgil and Lois Jean Voreis of Granger, Thomas Black of Mishawaka and Myrna Black of South Bend; great-grandmother, Winifred Kipp of South Bend; brothers, Brett (Lucy) Voreis of North Liberty, Joshua Voreis of South Bend, Jacob Schaefer of South Bend and Casey Schaefer of South Bend; aunts and uncles, Cindy Voreis, Dennis Voreis, Tom Black, Cathy Black, Terri (John) Matthys, Karen (Dan) Van Overberghe, Pam (Bernie) Veldman, Paula (John) Walter and Laura (Brent) Dennison; and numerous cousins.

Ryan attended Holy Family Grade School and graduated from Washington High School, worked in the warehouse at the Tire Rack, and enjoyed baseball, fishing, softball, and hanging out with all of his friends. Ryan had a wonderful smile and laugh. Ryan would always brighten up the mood, and was very affectionate and loving to his friends and family.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 11, 2012, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower, Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 12, 2012, in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852; or to the American Cancer Society, 130 Red Coach Drive, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
