SOUTH BEND - Elmer "Fudd Master" Lamar Thompson Jr. 41, of Sheridan Street, South Bend, Indiana, departed this life on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana surrounded by family and friends. Elmer was born in South Bend, IN on July 1, 1968 to the union of Shirley and Elmer Thompson.

He attended Washington High School, he also attended Brown Mackie College where he was studying computer technology. He had completed the boot camp and job readiness training through Project Impact.

Elmer's favorite past time was listening to music, writing and sharing his poetry. Elmer was involved in all sports, basketball, track, tennis and flag-football and wrestling. He is survived by his father, Elmer Thompson Sr.; a brother, Frederick Thompson both of South Bend, Indiana; and a sister, Jacqueline Charles of Ferguson, Missouri. His maternal grandparents , Gatson and Ruth Mincy of South Bend, IN and Mary and Arthur Rosier of Statesboro, GA, . Elmer has 4 uncles: Elton (Joyce) Thompson, South Bend, IN, Berry (Jamie) Mincy of Marietta, Ga, Stanley (Carol) Rosier of College Park, GA, and Arthur (Chauncy) Rozier of Lithonia, GA; 10 aunts; Mary Sanders, Eldorado, AR, Patricia Blackwell, Debbie (Jerome) Clark, Natalie (Randall) Lott, Ida (Glen) Williams all of So. Bend, IN, Peggy (Michael) Kendall, Canal Winchester, OH, Carol (Michael) Rhodes, Indianapolis, IN, Ursula Rosier, College Park, GA, Cynthia (James) Canty, and Vanessa (Dennis) Perkins both of Statesboro, GA. A great aunt Ida Wigfall of So. Bend, IN and a very special friend, Darnetta Phillips, of So. Bend, IN. He also leaves to cherish his memory a God mother, Bobbie Reams, three God-Sisters, a host of cousins, relatives and other friends.

His mother, Shirley Thompson, preceded him in death on October 18, 2003, as well as his paternal grandparents Elmer D. and Josie Thompson and two aunts Ozzie Dean Gaynor and Katie Lovett.

Funeral Services for Mr. Elmer L. Thompson will be held on Monday, July 13, 2009 at Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home Inc, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend, IN Visitation will begin at 10:00 and funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. The Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
