SOUTH BEND - Marsha L. Snyder, 70, of South Bend, passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side on Wednesday, February 28. Marsha was born May 28, 1936, in Warsaw, IN, to Maxine and Wilber Smith, who preceded her in death.

On May 27, 1960, Marsha married Ray E. Snyder, who survives. Marsha is survived by a sister, Sandra Pattillo (Bob); a brother, Steve Smith (Marilyn); a daughter, Cindy Mrozinski (Keith); three sons, James (Neringa), Dan (Emmy), Russ (Wendy); twelve grandchildren, Kris, Stephanie, Tina, Amy, Kaley, Megan, Kacie, Holly, Joe, Ryan, Maranda and MacKenzie; and a great-grandchild, Madisyn. Marsha was very active in her children's and grandchildren's lives.

She always supported their many sporting and club events. She also was involved in various groups, sports and committees throughout her life. Marsha was the first female umpire in the Little League World Series games in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Marsha and her friend Pat McGuire started the girls softball program at Chet Waggoner Little League in 1974. Marsha loved the outdoors. She was an avid fisherman, competing in many Bass 'n Gals tournaments. She spent many hours hunting wildlife with her camera. Marsha's photographs have been published in several wildlife magazines.

She was a 1954 graduate of Washington High School.

She was a partner in her business, Copy Cat Printing, which she managed for several years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will long be remembered for her generosity and dedication to her family and friends. The family wishes to thank Marsha's closest friends who gave her their love and care.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, March 5th, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 North Bendix Drive, South Bend. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6th, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Friends may call from 9:30 until 10:00 a.m. in the church. In keeping with her generous spirit, Marsha requested that memorial contributions be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or to Chet Waggoner Little League, P.O.
