Margaret A. Corle, a cherished soul whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, passed away on December 17, 2023, in her hometown of South Bend, IN. Born on May 25, 1970 to the late Suzanne (Glaser) Wallin in South Bend, Margaret's journey began in the same place it would, many years later, come to a gentle close.
Margaret was a graduate of Washington High School, and embarked on a fulfilling career that allowed her to touch the lives of countless children. She began as a teacher assistant at Emmons Elementary, where her patience and gentle guidance left an indelible mark on her students. Later, she continued her mission at East Bank Learning Center, where her dedication to children's growth and development was evident in every interaction.
Her personal life was as rich and full as her professional one. She found her soulmate in Philip Corle, and the two were united in marriage on November 8, 2019, in Mishawaka. Their union brought together a beautifully blended family that included Margaret's daughter, Jenna Berreth of Mishawaka, and son, Shawn Berreth of South Bend, as well as stepdaughters, Camilla Corle of South Bend and Abbie Corle of Dowagiac. Margaret embraced her role as a grandmother with open arms, cherishing every moment spent with her grandchildren, Sonia and Elias Venancio.
Margaret also leaves behind her loving sister, Laura (George) Davis of Mishawaka and brother Edward (Maureen) Wallin of Mishawaka.
An avid traveler, Margaret and Phil seized every opportunity to explore unique places, creating a tapestry of memories. Her love for adventure was matched only by her love for the simple pleasures of life, like her monthly game nights with friends and family. Margaret's creative spirit found expression in her crafts, a talent that she not only enjoyed but excelled at, often gifting her loved ones with handmade treasures that will be cherished for years to come.
Memorial services for Margaret will be held from 4:00PM – 7:00 PM, on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at The Hedwig Memorial Center, 331 Scott St. South Bend, In 46601. Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
