Patricia J (Botka) Platt

SOUTH BEND, IN - Patricia J. Platt, of Peoria, AZ, passed away peacefully on October 18, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born May 18, 1958 in South Bend, IN, Patricia was the daughter of Louis C. and Betty A. Botka.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Louis and Hattie Botka, John and Frances Kwitek; and niece, Shelly Botka.

She graduated from South Bend Washington High School in 1977, Patricia went to beauty school and opened her own beauty supply store. She later went on to study and became an operating room surgical technician. In 1991, she moved to Arizona and continued to work in the medical field. She also studied to become a computer programmer for the Arizona Department of Health Services.

In 1993, she met the love of her life, Rodney Platt, and they married in June of 1996. After their honeymoon on Kauai, she was inspired by the beauty and culture. She embraced the Hawaiian spirit, language, dance, and music. She started her own business, Aloha Errands, as a personal assistant. Her spirit will be remembered by all who cherish her memory.

Besides her husband, locally, she will be remembered by brothers, Donald (Linda) Botka and Kenneth (Barbara) Botka; nephew, Michael (Erica) Botka; nieces, Jennifer Botka and Sarah Salazar; and her daughter, Hannah.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Regency Mortuary, Sun City, AZ, on Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to GoFundMe account at https://www.gofundme/caring-for-trisha-its-her-time to help cover medical and funeral expenses.
