Lorri (Mynsberge) Mitchell

MAY 17, 1935 – DECEMBER 18, 2016

Lorraine “Lorri” “Monna” Mitchell died peacefully in her sleep on December 18, 2016, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston, TX. Born May 17, 1935 in South Bend, Indiana, to August and Clara Mynsberge.

Lorri went to Washington High school and graduated in 1953. She was voted wittiest of her Class. She was a homemaker living in Deer Park, TX with her husband, Calvin Mitchell. She loved reading, doing counted cross-stitch, shopping and being with her family.

She is predeceased by her parents, August and Clara Mynsberge of Mishawaka, Indiana, and her Brother, Albert Mynsberge of South Bend, Indiana.

Lorri is survived by her loving husband, Calvin Mitchell of 62 years. They were married in South Bend, Indiana on June 5, 1954. She is lovingly remembered by her Son, Dennis Mitchell of Baton Rouge Louisiana and her Daughter, Karen Saphos of Pasadena, TX. Grandchildren, Mitchell Saphos, Cody Mitchell, Jenny Saphos and Ali Mitchell. Sister-in-law Margie Mynsberge and Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law Russell and Nell Mitchell

The visitation will be held at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy., Pasadena, TX on Thursday, December 22nd 6-8 pm.

The funeral service will be held at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy., Pasadena, TX on Friday, December 23rd 10 am with Pastor David Sawhill officiating. Interment to follow at Grand View Cemetery. A wake will take place at 5014 Baywood Dr., Pasadena, TX following Interment..
