ALICE (CSABI) MEAD
Alice Mead Nov. 7, 1934 - Aug. 15, 2015 MISHAWAKA - Alice M. Mead, 80, residing in Mishawaka, IN passed away at 4:05 PM Saturday, August 15, 2015 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, IN. She was born on November 7, 1934 in South Bend, IN to the late Steve and Alice M. (Kmitta) Csabi and remained a lifelong resident. Alice married Robert L. Mead, who preceded her in death on April 4, 1987.
Alice was a graduate of South Bend Washington High School.
She worked as a cook for many years at Sam's Saloon, Northside Tavern and Aunt Beth's Cookies in Mishawaka. Alice loved to read and cook. Alice is survived by two daughters, Bobbie Jo (Dwaine) Keeton of Niles, MI and Cheryl (John) Norris of Walkerton; her son, Guy (Debbie) Mead of Mishawaka; five grandchildren, Tracey Keeton, Chad Keeton, Kelly Norris, Clay Norris and Racheal Stump; and 9 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
One brother, Gene Csabi preceded Alice in death.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Rev. Duane Vance of Niles, MI will officiate. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 noon 3:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
