ALVIN WINSTON

SOUTH BEND - A homecoming took place August 5, 2011, at 12:40 a.m. when our Heavenly Father came calling for one of his own, Alvin Winston Jr. He was born on February 22, 1959, in South Bend, Indiana, to Lavonda Neely-Winston (deceased) and Alvin Winston Sr.
Alvin attended Washington High School and enjoyed: Basketball, Pool, Playing Cards and Dominoes.
He leaves to cherish his memories his father, Alvin Winston Sr.; his stepmother, Claudette Winston; his siblings, Chuckie Winston, Carol Winston, Larry Winston, "D" David Winston, Rolanda Nailon and Eleanor Winston; nieces and nephews, Charles, Chevell, Lavonda, Charles Jr., Mychael, David Jr., Derryl, Davetta and Deanna.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lavonda Neely-Winston; and two brothers, Ricky Winston and Derryl Winston. A special thanks goes out to his friends and family at Cardinal Nursing Home, and his special friend, Leanna Poindexter, God bless you all. We would be remiss not to mention his countless other family and friends, but you all are included.
A memorial service for Alvin Winston Jr. will be held today, August 11, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. at 2010 Kendall St., South Bend. Visit our website at www.clarkoneal.com to sign his guestbook. Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home Inc. has been entrusted with arrangements.
