SOUTH BEND - Jhaelon Jarod Johnson departed this life being a beloved son of LaShawna Nicole Love and Rodney Duane Johnson Sr., a dear grandson of Delena (Nyling Gammage) Lewis, Micheal Lee (Marilyn) Love, Edward and Jacqueline Johnson, and a dear great-grandson of Helen Mardell Lewis. Jhaelon was also a loved brother of Dariah and Anthony Blake, Jr., Seairra Johnson, Rodney D. Johnson, Jr., Rheya Johnson and RaSauun Johnson, along with being a special nephew of Turquois (Lamond) Love-Brown, Erika Johnson, Kevin Gammge, Micheal Love, Jr., Trevon Love, Jarrell Johnson, Donnell 'Riquis' Wilderness, and Jamale Brown; he has a host of cousins, friends, aunts and uncles.

Jhaelon was a very inspirational young man who enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and football, along with the interest of hobbies such as skating, swimming and listening to music.

Jhaelon attended Washington High School where he maintained an outstanding GPA of 3.1.

Jhaelon had phenomenal characteristics of a great leader and was always a team player. Being the beautiful young man that he was, Jhaelon had two very special Bros, Deontre Baker and Ricky Ward, Jr., and a special aunt, Martika Binion, who was very close to his heart.

Visitation for Jhaelon will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, September 22, 2012 in New Horizons Outreach Ministry, 56165 Mayflower Rd., where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., is assisting the family. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
