DONNA JEAN JOHNSON

Donna Jean Johnson March 3, 1962 - June 13, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Ms. Donna Jean Johnson departed her life at the age of 52 on June 13, 2014, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN. Donna was born on March 3, 1962, to Geraldine Johnson and Eugene Wilder.

She graduated from Washington High School in 1979 and later attended and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University of South Bend in August of 1985.

Donna enjoyed life and never met a stranger. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren, keeping up with the latest fashion, keeping her nails and hair up to par, and shopping matching from head to toe. At an early age Donna confessed her faith in The Lord at St. Augustine Church.

Loved ones who survive to mourn her loss include one son whom she loved and cherished, Marcos Cannady; her loving partner, Cornelius "Bud" Johnson; her adorable grandchildren whom she was affectionately known as "Sugga Mama": TaLayja Cannady and Marcos Cannady, Jr.; step-grandchild, TaNyra Wells; siblings, Robert "Bubba" Johnson, Maxine Crawford, Ronnie Mojo Coleman, Cheryl Atkins-Rivera, Robert "Bobby" McCain and David Johnson (her twin brother); a special niece, Ikenia McGee; along with other relatives and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her mother and father, Geraldine Johnson and Eugene Wilder; siblings, Joseph Coleman and Gwendolyn Johnson.

The Johnson family would like to thank & acknowledge the Memorial Hospital ICU & Memorial Hospital Staff for the care and support.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014, at Alford's Mortuary with viewing occurring one hour prior to services at Alford's Mortuary. Arrangements have been entrusted to Alford's Mortuary. www.alfordsmortuaryinc.com
