PATRICIA L. (HANNA) STEELE

Patricia Lee Steele March 14, 1946 - March 25, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Patricia Lee (Hanna) Steele, 68, passed away at 11:38 AM Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Memorial Hospital. Patricia was born on March 14, 1946, in South Bend, to the late Richard C. Hanna Sr. and Betty Jane (Libey) Hanna.

Patricia grew up in the South Bend area and graduated from Washington High School.

On August 24, 1963, at Grace United Methodist Church, South Bend, she was united in marriage to William J. Steele Jr., who has preceded her in death. Living in the Three Rivers, Michigan, area for many years, she enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children. While living in South Bend, Patricia attended the Living Stones Church, was involved in 4-H, enjoyed gardening, baking, sculpting and visiting Lake Michigan. She also had a great love for cats.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Shevaun M.M. (Dennis) Clutter of Portage, MI; sons, William G. (Julie) Steele IV of South Bend, Brian L. Steele of South Bend and Colin R. (Shilpi) Steele of Dowagiac, MI; nine grandchildren, Damian, Michelle, Lily, Chad, Rachael, Jerimiah, Christian, Sopnil and Shiba; two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Isabella; and her brother, Richard C. (Patty) Hanna of South Bend. She is also survived by her niece, Rebecca (Matt) Miller, and nephew, Richard C. (Kailey) Hanna III.

Memorial services for Patricia Lee Steele will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Living Stones Church, located at 718 E. Donmoyer Ave., South Bend, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services. Pastor Sam Barrington will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Pet Refuge, 4626 Burnett Drive, South Bend, IN 46614.
