ELEANOR L. (MCCLONE) HUSTON

Saratoga Springs -- Eleanor L. Huston of King Arthur Court, died Friday, March 3, 2006, at Saratoga Hospital. She was 70.

Born on Dec. 9, 1935, in South Bend, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Earl and Mildred (Pierce) McClone.

A graduate of Washington High School in South Bend Ind., she worked in a variety of support staff positions at the Physical Science Lab of New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, N.M.

She and her family moved to Saratoga Springs in 1966, where she worked for 12 years for Skidmore College retiring as Executive Secretary for Trustee Affairs for two of the college's Presidents.

She also worked for Youth Unlimited and participated in the Girl Scouts as a troop leader and area chairman.

Eleanor was a member of the Bethesda Episcopal Church in Saratoga Springs since 1966, and was a "collector of kids", enjoying the company of the neighborhood children, and loved her grandchildren and their accomplishments.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Douglas C. Huston of Saratoga Springs, who she married on Oct. 2, 1954; her daughters, Janet Bell and her husband, Daniel. of Queensbury and Diane Huston of Saratoga Springs; her sisters, Betty Wesolowski and her husband, Donald, and Delores Wisniewski and her husband, Gene, all of South Bend, Ind.; five grandchildren, Matt and his fianceé, Jeannie, Christian, Eric, Scott and Katelynn; several nieces and nephews; and a very special cousin, Kathy.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at Bethesda Episcopal Church, Washington Street at Broadway, where a Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas T. Parke, rector. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial in South Bend, Ind. There are no public calling hours.
