Agnes M. (Horvath) Heirman

Nov. 23, 1920 - April 15, 2005

Agnes Marie Heirman, 84, of East 7th Street, passed away at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Mishawaka Campus at 6:10 p.m. Friday, April 15. Agnes was born on Nov. 23, 1920, in South Bend, as the daughter of George and Marie (Pas) Horvath.

On Feb. 3, 1940, in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church, South Bend, as the former Agnes Horvath, she married Chester J. Heirman, who preceded her in death on October 29, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and by four sisters, Clara Evangelisti, Anna Vander Brugghen, Elizabeth Widmar and Erma Meyerhoeffer.

Agnes is survived by a one son, Donald (Lois) Heirman of Lincroft, New Jersey. Agnes was a loving and caring mother and devoted wife taking care of husband Chester for the past several years even though she herself was battling an illness. She will be remembered for her quick wit and sense of humor. Agnes was very proud to be a member of the first graduating class "1938" of Washington Senior High School, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka.

Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 18th, where a Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Robert Yast officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola
