Gary Gene Gray June 25, 1962 - March 24, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Mr. Gary Gene Gray, 52, a resident of Ravenwood Blvd., Elkhart, Indiana, departed this life on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Memorial Hospital. Gary was born on June 25, 1962, in South Bend, Indiana, to General and Mary Esther (Phillips) Gray Jr.

He was reared and educated in South Bend, graduating from Washington High School in 1980.

He had been employed by South Bend Stamping as a factory laborer. Among his favorites were basketball and football, cooking chili, eating, especially at Barnaby's, and also playing with his grandchildren. He was baptized at Pentecostal Church at an early age.

Mr. Gray leaves to mourn his loss daughters, Aubry Gray of Elkhart, Indiana, and Antoinette Taylor of South Bend, Indiana, of whom he raised; two grandchildren, Alexander and Alexia Watson; sisters, Cynthia (Charles) Stokes and Sheila Gregory, both of South Bend, Indiana, and Vickki Bringier of Carson, California; brothers, DeWitt Bowie of South Bend, Indiana, and Derrick Bowie of Kalamazoo, Michigan; nieces, Dionna and Sherika, Shalon (Steven) McClatchey, all of South Bend, Indiana, and Jeanna (Jr.) Forney, Indianapolis, Indiana; Kimberly Taylor, Elkhart, Indiana, mother of his only child; nephews, Tony Ford, South Bend, Indiana, and DeCarlo Stewart, Atlanta, Georgia, and Desmond; and a close friend / sister, Tina Sutherland, South Bend, Indiana; along with a host of other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, General and Mary Esther Gray; sister, Sherry Bowie; and brothers, Gregory Bowie and Ray Anthony Bowie.

Services for Mr. Gary Gene Gray will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Pentecostal Cathedral Church. Visitation is from 2:00 3:00 p.m. at the church.
