Tommy W. Dent, Sr. March 30, 1941 - March 24, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Tommy W. Dent, Sr., 73, who resided in South Bend, IN, passed away at 8:41 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015. He was born March 30, 1941. Tommy was born in Turrell, AR, and later moved to South Bend, IN.

Tommy attended school at Washington High School and later became a retired truck driver.

He left behind to cherish his memory one loving sister, Charlene "Lil' Sister" Williams; seven daughters, Janie (Daryl) Moman, Anita (Gregory) Scott, Angela (Verdell, Jr.) Williams, Rita, Laurie, Deborah, and Regina Dent; three sons, Tommy (Cynthia) Dent, Sr., Charles and James Dent; 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; a longtime companion, Earnestine Brooks; a great friend; Henry Smith; and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Charles and Willie Mae Dent; a wife, Theresa Ann Dent; and one niece, Mary Jo Jones. Mr. Tommy W. Dent, Sr..

Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2015, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with viewing occurring from 11:00 a.m. to noon at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Alford's Mortuary. www.Alfordsmortuaryinc.com
