SOUTH BEND - Mrs. Lillie Mae Clark-Rogers, 58, slipped into eternity at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, July 19, 2009, in Sanctuary at St. Joseph, South Bend, IN. She had resided on Bonfield Place, South Bend. Lillie's life began on November 5, 1950, in South Bend, when she was born to the union of Brady and Lillian (Gray) Clark.

As a lifelong area resident Lillie was educated in the South Bend school system, graduating from Washington High School in 1968. In 1970, in Chicago, Illinois, she and Willie Rogers were married. Among her hobbies were playing bingo and cards. She was also a member of the Spiritual Israel Church and its Army.

Her memory will be lovingly cherished by her husband, Willie Rogers; three daughters, Kathleen Clark, Alesia Strong and Shamika Rogers; a son, Bryant Rogers, all of South Bend; grandchildren, Joletta Danielle Johnson, Jamila Monique Strong, J'Anthony Treyrell Gavin and J'Aunnia Marie Jackson; sisters, Angela (Calvin) Johnson of Ft. Wayne, IN, Brenda Clark of Peoria, IL, Samela (Robert) Kelly, Pauline Robinson and Joyce (Millard) Tate, all of Illinois; brothers, Brady Clark Jr. of South Bend, William McFerren, Lennie (Willie Mae) McFerren, Alvin (Marilyn) McFerren, Claude (Janice) McFerren and Ernest McFerren, all of Missouri; sisters-in-law, Mary Rogers of South Bend, Willetta Rogers of Chicago, IL, and Ruby Gray of Elkhart, IN; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death along with her parents were a sister, Martha Clark; siblings, Joe McFerren, Sammie McFerren and Arlene McFerren; and a niece, Gloria Lynn Clark. The family of Mrs. Rogers wishes to thank the staff of Sanctuary of St. Joseph for their wonderful care of their loved one.

Services for Mrs. Rogers will be held at noon on Saturday in Alford's Mortuary where arrangements have been entrusted. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery.
