SOUTH BEND - Mrs. Terry Marie Byers-Fuller, 54, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, in Lexington, Kentucky. Terry was born on May 20, 1956, in South Bend, Indiana, to the union of Johnny and Roberta (Thorpe) Byers. Both parents preceded her in death.

She attended Washington High School and Indiana University South Bend where she attained her bachelor's degree in human services. She was a C.N.A., Q.N.A., hairstylist, substitute teacher in our local high schools, and was also planning to return to Indiana University South Bend to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Sister Terry served as vice president of the Nurses Union and was a member of the choir at Greater Saint John Missionary Baptist Church. .

Terry leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Roosevelt Fuller Sr. of South Bend, Indiana; two sons, Eric D. McKinstry and Roosevelt L. Fuller Jr., both of South Bend; one daughter, Rolanda Jefferies of Lexington, Kentucky; five sisters, Rose Y. Young of South Bend, Tallaya Byers, Margie Byers, Carmen Byers and Georgette Byers, all of Minneapolis, Minnesota; two brothers, Johnny Byers Jr. of South Bend and Curtis Crenshaw-Byers of Wabash, Indiana; seven granddaughters, Rae'Aunna and Terry Nailon, Raven and Saundra McKinstry, DonNiece and DonNetta DeVries and Gerah McKinney; three grandsons, D'Angelo Jefferies, Amillion and Romell Fuller; five spiritual sisters, Pamela Kirk-Lee, Candace Mitchell, Dorkus Kennedy, Sherry Epengher and Valeri Buchanan; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sister Terry was preceded in death by her mother, Roberta Byers; her father, Johnny Byers Sr.; her sister, Hattie Ann Byers; grandfather, John Thorpe; and by her niece, Hattie Ann Watford.

Memorial services for Terry Marie Byers-Fuller will be held today, April 26, 2011, at 12 noon in Greater Saint John Missionary Baptist Church, 101 N. Adams Street. Visit our website at www.clarkoneal.com to sign her guestbook. Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home Inc. has been entrusted with arrangements.
