JANET L. (WILSON) BENSON

Janet Lee Wilson Benson March 3, 1961 - March 25, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Janet Lee Wilson was born on February 3, 1961, to the union of Leon Wilson Sr. and Lula Wilson in South Bend, Indiana.

She received her formal education at Washington High School in South Bend, Indiana. She furthered her education attending Milwaukee Area Technical College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she graduated at the top of her class with an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences.

Janet accepted Christ as her Savior in her early 20s. Janet L. Wilson was united in holy matrimony with Darryl P. Benson on December 15, 1986, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their union was blessed with two amazing children.

Janet Benson enlisted into the United States Air Force on April 17, 1985, and was honorably discharged on Decemebr 9, 1987. She was employed by Lakeshore Medical as a Mammography/Radiol-ogy Tech until her unfortunate passing.

She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Cheraya Benson of Dallas, Texas, and Ebone Benson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; grandson, Diamante Silas of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; mother, Lulu Wilson of South Bend, Indiana; brother, Leon (Cherly) Wilson; three sisters, Epsie McFarland, Kathy (Ernest) Jennings and Patricia (Gary) Lister; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will occur at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Highland Cemetery. Alford's Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements. www.Alfordsmortuaryinc.com
