April 25, 1947 ~ March 14, 2022 (age 74)

On March 14, 2022 Joan Leslie Campbell was called home to be with her Lord and Savior. Joan was born April 25,1947, to Eddie and Jessie Campbell. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Great Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dave Davis.

Joan was a native of South Bend, IN, she graduated from Washington High School. Joan worked for the Urban League, Captain Alexander Wharf, South Bend Community School Corporation and Notre Dame where her strong work ethic had a positive impact. Joan was a kind hearted and loving person. She was willing to help anyone in need.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents Eddie and Jessie Campbell.

Those left to cherish her memory and celebrate her life: her loving daughter Sherry Johnson of Atlanta, GA. Cornelius “Bud” Johnson of South Bend, IN. Sisters Joyce Campbell, Patricia Campbell, Mae Staggers (Charles) all of South Bend, IN. Brothers Bobby Campbell (Angie), Wilbur (Phylllis) Campbell all of South Bend, IN and Edward Campbell of St. Petersburg, FL. Sister in law Reverly Staples-Campbell. God daughter Tasha Reed-Outlaw. Host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
