Sarah Marie (Gleva) Waller, 60, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at her sister's home in Mishawaka, IN.
Sarah was born on January 24, 1966 in South Bend, IN to the late John C. and Alice Anne (Koehler) Gleva. Sarah is also preceded in death by her brother, Steven Gleva. She graduated from South Bend Washington High School in 1986.
Left to cherish their memories of Sarah are her daughter, Kassandra Waller, son, Michael Waller; grandson, Emile Hatch; boyfriend, Joe; brothers, John Gleva, Mark (Kelley) Gleva, and Matthew Gleva; sister, Lorrijean Gleva; nieces and nephews, Isaiah Turner, Mason Gleva, and Laura Gleva; and her 7-11 family and friends.
Sarah proudly served her country in the United States Navy. After her honorable discharge from the Navy she went to work for Meijer on Portage Road until becoming diagnosed with cancer. After many years of battling with breast cancer, Sarah went to work for 7-11 on Mayflower Road. She enjoyed going back to work, especially because the people there were more like family and friends than coworkers and customers. They were always there for her. Sarah also operated her own business, cleaning the condos at Notre Dame prior to events. Sarah enjoyed going to church, swimming, watching movies, and loved treating herself to Starbucks drinks.
