William L. Pietrucha

SOUTH BEND - William L. “Willie” Pietrucha, 61, passed away at 2:17 pm Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in Hospice House.

Willie was born on January 6, 1956 in South Bend to Edward and Maria (Nuija) Pietrucha. Willie was a retired truck driver who loved Notre Dame and the Chicago White Sox, golfing, playing the guitar and the Rolling Stones.

On January 6, 2007 he married Debra Sachman, who survives along with three daughters, Lindsey (Adam) Fullerton of Phoenix, AZ, Brittany (Aaron) Lehman of New Paris, IN, and Melanie Gordon of South Bend, IN, a son, Luke Pietrucha of Charlotte, NC; 9 grandchildren: Callahan, Alex, Max, Jameson, Edmund, Diamond, Aries, Star and Amelia, and a brother, Joe (Vicki) Pietrucha of Mishawaka with nieces, Jodie Pietrucha (Corey Davis) of Portland, OR, and Mary Pietrucha of Chicago, IL.

Cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 28, 2017 in Christ the King Catholic Church. Family and friends may gather from 10:30 until services begin in the church. Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

The Pietrucha family asks that you give the gift of life by donating blood and platelets.
