SOUTH BEND - Robert Curtis Kirkendoll, 32, of 130 N. Summit St., died at 3:45 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital of a gunshot wound to the head. Dr. Louis Grwinski, county deputy coroner, ruled the death a homicide. Mr. /Kirkendoll was a former cook at Coach's Restaurant, Niles. He was born Dec. 15, 1960, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.
He is survived by his parents, Betty Kirkendoll of South Bend and Perry Kirkendoll of Elkhart; a sister, Cynthia Fultz of South Bend; five brothers, Zachary Kirkendoll of # Norfolk, Va., Bryan Kirkendoll, Rodney Kirkendoll, Stacey Kirkendoll, and Tyrone Sessom, all of South Bend; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Johnson of South Bend; paternal grandparents, Zallenor McCullough of Blytheville, Ark., and James Perry Kirkendoll of Hayti, Mo.; and a maternal great- Beatrice Wilder of South Bend.
He was a member of Apostolic Faith Temple, Niles.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Clark's Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home
