Cynthia (Ogorek) Knafel

SOUTH BEND- Cynthia Knafel, 53, of South Bend passed away on Monday, November 26th at 3:57 a.m. at the Hospice House of South Bend.
She was born November 6, 1959 in South Bend to Frank A. and Pauline E. (Schenk) Ogorek.
Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Shawn (Jason) Hierholzer of Syracuse, grandson Dilon Carpenter of Syracuse, ex-husband and father of Shawn, Floyd Knafel of Syracuse, IN, three sisters; Paulette (Ken) Rinehart of North Fort Myers, FL., Frances (Ray) Jurek of South Bend, Sally Arnold of South Bend, a brother Frank W. Ogorek of South Bend and a step-grandson Bryant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Sheryll Ogorek and a brother Fred Ogorek.
Cynthia was a former Indiana State Police dispatcher. She loved spending time with her family and friends and most of all her beloved dog "Buddy".
A Celebration of Life service for Cynthia will be held on Thursday, November 29th at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Evangelical Free Church located at 120 E. Bertland Road, Niles, Michigan 49120. Memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society.
