Susan I Santa (Santa-Linson)

Susan I. Santa-Linson, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, age 62 of Mishawaka, passed away peacefully Saturday while surrounded by her husband and family. Sue was born in South Bend, IN on November 1, 1959, to the late George and Irene (Kolazar) Santa. On May 12, 2001, in Queen of Peace Church, she married her best friend Brian “Bucky” Linson II who survives. Also surviving are her children, Sara Liechty and Nick Eyster; granddaughters, Brielle Mitchell, Grace Liechty and Melody Eyster; and brothers, Michael (Monica) Santa and Terrence “Terry” (Stephanie) Santa. She is preceded in death by her brother, George Santa.

Sue graduated from Washington High School in 1978 and got her Associates Degree in Radiology from Indiana University Bloomington in 1981. She worked as an IR Technician at Memorial Hospital and Elkhart General Hospital for 34 years until her retirement. Sue loved spending holidays with her family, hosting at her lake home and cooking meals for everyone. She also enjoyed going on adventures with her husband whether it be a local day of fun, a short drive to Chicago to see the Cubs or Blackhawks or a trip across the country to her favorite destination Las Vegas. Along with spending time with her husband, family and friends, Sue enjoyed time spent with her fur babies Woody, Izzy and George. She was caring, funny and always the life of the party. Her smile and laugh were contagious, and she could always make you feel right at home.

Visitation will be held on Friday September 9, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN.  from 12:00 Noon till 2:00 pm, Will Funeral Service at 2:00 pm with Bob Vale officiating. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery South Bend.
