Timothy (Tim) King, aka” Bae and Bruh-Man”

January 16, 1969-March 17, 2023

Timothy (Tim) King, aka” Bae and Bruh-Man” was born on January 16, 1969, in Milan, Tennessee to Melishie King and Jackie Wright. At a young age, his mother relocated her family back to South Bend, IN. Tim departed this life on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN. Tim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother.

Tim graduated from Washington High School in 1987. He was an avid Basketball and Football player while attending Washington High School. Tim was united in Holy Matrimony to Tracy Gorden on October 3, 2009. Tim worked at AM General LLC, building Humvees for the United States Army for twenty years, and most recently worked as a custodian for SSC at LaSalle Academy.

In Tim’s spare time, he enjoyed playing “Tunk and Spades” and relaxing at home watching Basketball and Football games in his favorite seat. His favorite quote when asked how he's doing was “I’m holding on”.

Those left to cherish his memory include his dedicated and loving wife, Tracy King; daughter, Heather King; grandchildren, Jaylen Johnson and Amirrah King; Mother, Melishie King; Brother, Ricky King; Sisters-in-law, Jackie Gorden, Shirley Gorden, Beverly Gorden, Gale Gorden, and Barbara King; Brothers-in-law, LeRoy Gorden, Jr., and Ernest Gorden; Aunts, Margaret Plump, and Patricia King, Uncles, Lynn L. (Beverly) King, Michael (Jean) King and a host of Nieces, Nephews, other relatives, and friends. Special childhood friends, Harold Palmer, Bernard Vaughn, Javon Williams, and Matthew Cossel.

Tim was preceded in death by his Father, Jackie Wright, Aunt, Elnora King, father and mother-in-law, LeRoy & Ernestine Gorden, maternal grandparents, Landers and Luvern King, paternal grandmother, Elva Townsend Williams, Special Aunt, Willa Mae Gunn, Special Uncles, Priest-King and Landers King, Jr. and Special Cousins, Harold Lee Houghton and John King.

Friends and family may pay their respects from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, March 27, 2023, in Palmer Funeral Home - West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend, Indiana. Funeral Service will be held from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM, at the Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 101 N. Adams St. South Bend, Indiana, 46628.
