Sid Griley Jr., 57 of South Bend, Indiana passed away on May 23rd, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born on December 2nd, 1968, in South Bend, IN., to the union of Sid Griley and Betty Griley. Sid was a proud Washington High School Panther. He carried that same strength and pride well into adulthood.
Sid Griley Jr. owned and operated his own Auto Body and Paint Shop. Due to an illness, he left the shop behind.
Sid leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son, Sidney Griley and his granddaughter, Aria Griley of Indianapolis, IN., his mother, Betty (Dotson) Taylor, two sisters, Barbara Griley of South Bend, IN., and Candance Butler of Moreno Balley, CA.
Special nieces and nephew Jasmine Donaldson, Jamyka Donaldson, Charquinta Griley, Carlos Griley Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. Also, his lifelong friends, Shaun Sanders and Harold Palmer.
Sid Griley Jr. was preceded in death by his father, Sid Griley Sr., one brother, Carlos Griley Sr., one sister, Cheryl Griley, his grandparents, Norman and Dora Lee Dotson, two uncles, Ernest and Tommie Dotson, three aunts, Lee Dora Tripp, Fannie Williams, Annie Wilson and Alice Carter.
A memorial service to honor Sid’s life will be held at Charles Martin Youth Center, 802 Lincoln Way West, South Bend, Indiana, 46616, on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 2:00 pm EDT. We encourage you to share your memories of Sid and upload photos to his memorial page. In doing so, we can keep his spirit alive and honor his enduring legacy.
