Judith A. (Wood) Johnson

February 20, 1965 ~ May 25, 2024 (age 59)

Judith A. Johnson, 59, of South Bend, passed away with her loving family by her side at her home. 

Judie was born in South Bend on February 20, 1965, and was preceded in death by her parents, Wilber W. and Agnes P. Wood. She was a lifelong resident of the Michiana area. Judie loved cooking, traveling, Las Vegas, camping, and long walks on the beach. She was a people person who loved making new friends everywhere she went. 

Judie’s greatest joy in life came from her children and grandchildren. She was a proud mother of three: Zachary J. Schultheis of Mishawaka, Grant M. Johnson of South Bend, and Julia A. Johnson (Cheyenne) of South Bend. Her four grandchildren, Mila R. Johnson, Zaden M. Johnson, Issac D. Johnson, and Breighton A. Wood were the shining lights of her life. 

She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Brandy Burt (Michael), Angie Jacobs (Jason), and Matthew Welker (Erin). She was also preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Richard Seigler and Ronnie Balentine. 

Per her wishes, there will be no services scheduled at this time. Hanley and Sons Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements and extends our greatest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to all of Judie’s family and friends.
