John William Hensell

John William Hensell, 55, of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022, in his home. John was born on October 28, 1966 in LaPorte, Indiana. He was currently employed with Quality Aluminum and Steel in Elkhart. He had also been employed with Gibbs Wire and Steel in South Bend. John is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Wells of South Bend, Indiana; his son, John Joseph Hensell of Newfoundland, Canada; three grandchildren, Austin, Tanis and Everely; his father, Phillip Hensell of New Carlisle, Indiana; his mother and her husband, Barbara (Larry) Poehlman of Cassopolis, Michigan; his sister, Tracy Hensell of South Bend, Indiana; and his brother, Tom (Shaunna) Hensell of Elkhart, Indiana. John was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Phyllis Hensell. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2022 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert Street, New Carlisle, Indiana. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. John was a 1985 graduate of Washington High School. He served in the United States Marines during Desert Storm. John enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle. John was a social butterfly.
