Irene Marie (Niespodziany) Yacko

Irene Marie Yacko, age 94, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024.

Irene was a graduate of Indiana University. She was a member of St Simon's Catholic Church and had been a founding member of St Matthew Catholic Church. She was a docent for the Indianapolis Museum of Art for 21 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Dr. Michael L Yacko and her grandson, Dr. Peter O'Neil. She is survived by her four children, Melinda O'Neil (Dr. Patrick O'Neil), Dr. Michael S. Yacko (Ruth), Mary Anne Tague, PhD (Kenneth) and Dr. Mark Yacko as well as her seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery Chapel - 9001 Haverstick Road, Indianapolis. A service is to follow at 1:00 p.m. Irene will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
