ANNA (GORBACZ) BOOKER

Anna Booker passed away February 9, 2021 in Mobile, Alabama. Ann was born to Samuel and Julia Gorbacz in South Bend, Indiana on June 6, 1929; their only girl, with five doting brothers.

Ann enjoyed getting together with friends and family, listening to music, singing, playing cards or other games, and had a great passion for dogs. She attended and was active in Episcopal Church of Our Saviour in Salem, Ohio. She had lived in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Alabama.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, all five brothers, and her husband, William Booker.

She is survived by her son, Robert E. Yates, her daughter, Julie Yates Rathbun, and her grandson Zachariah J. Yates (Hannah), as well as two great grandchildren; Liberty and Calvin. Ann is also blessed to have been part of the Booker family; including Mary Booker, Kelly and Tod Newman, Scott Booker, and Jeff Booker, Lori Czap, Jenna Greenfield, Stacey Czap, and Brooklyn Czap.

Ann will be buried next to her husband, William, in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Youngstown, Ohio in a private ceremony.
