Emilia "Emily" (Bilinski) Karczewski

SOUTH BEND — Emilia "Emily" Karczewski, 65, of 106 Marquette Ave., died at 8:10 p.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital of natural causes. Mrs. Karczewski was a self-employed property manager. She was born April 23, 1928, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On April 23, 1955, in South Bend, as Emilia Bilinski, she married Eugene Karczewski. He survives with two daughters, Emilia "Emmy" Ettl of South Bend and Christine Harsh of Columbus, Ohio: a son, Victor of South Bend; five grandchildren; and three sisters, Mary Machulis and Pauline Koehler, both of South Bend, and Adeline Macalka of LaPorte.

She was a member of M.R Falconettes Nest 200 and Bowlers Country Club. Services will be at 10 am. Friday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Cremation will take place.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
