Elizabeth "Bette" (Zeichman) Eichstedt

Elizabeth "Bette" Eichstedt, 102, passed away at 6:49pm Monday, March 4, 2024 in her residence, surrounded by her family.
Elizabeth was born on October 17, 1921 in South Bend to John and Elizabeth (Haffner) Zeichman. On June 21, 1941 she married Robert W. Eichstedt. He died on February 12, 2008. Bette was also preceded in death by a son Robert Eichstedt and two brothers Robert Zeichman and John Zeichman.

Surviving are two sons Richard (Kathy) Eichstedt and Mark Eichstedt, a daughter-in-law Rita Eichstedt, 5 grandchildren Jeffrey (Manda), Scott (Mel), Michael, Kristin, and Michelle and 6 great-grandchildren.

Bette was a parishioner of Our Lady of Hungary Church and a member of the former St. Anthony Society Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing and baking.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Friday, March 8, 2024 in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 10am until services Friday in the church. A Rosary will be recited at 10:15am.
