Marian Erma (Nagy) Lukavich

SOUTH BEND - Marian E. Lukavich, 76, of Woodlawn Avenue, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28, in the Hospice House. She retired in 1996 from Cloud Brothers where she worked as a bookkeeper.

Mrs., Lukavich was born on Jan. 7, 1922, in South Bend, to Menyhart and Julia Nagy. They both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Yolanda Hegedus, who died on March 20, 1998, and by a brother, Stephen Nagy, who died in 1927 at the age of 2.

On May 11, 1946, in South Bend, as Marian Nagy she married Steven R. Lukavich, who died on July 24, 1972. She is survived by a brother, Geza Nagy of South Bend; three nieces, Mary Ellen Hegedus, Luanne Morris and Jane Hegedus, all of South Bend; and by four nephews, Tony Hegedus, Charles Hegedus and Rich Siderits, all of South Bend, and Tom Nagy of Mishawaka, Ind.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday in Corpus Christi Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 8 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County or to the charity of choice.
