Lloyd Middlebrook was born on September 22, 1952, in South Bend, IN, to the late Frank Middlebrook Jr. and Mary Lena Osborne-Middlebrook. He entered eternal rest early Thursday morning, September 3, 2026. His eldest brother, Willie Frank Middlebrook, and his closest sister, Jo Ann Middlebrook-Walker, also preceded him in death.

Lloyd graduated from Washington High School in 1974 and went on to receive a bachelor's degree from Indiana State University. Lloyd enjoyed working in communications and retired from Signius Communications in 2010. This allowed him to focus on what mattered most-his family. He believed no one could take better care of his granddaughter, so he and his wife, Carla, devoted themselves to loving and caring for her, a role he cherished deeply.

Lloyd believed in forging his own path and living life on his own terms. He was one of a kind and a big kid at heart. He loved cartoons, especially Scooby-Doo. He was an avid NASCAR fan, and he proudly considered himself a "Trekkie."

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 39 years, Carla Ann Middlebrook; a daughter, Monica Ann (Tyler) May; and granddaughter, Moriah Janae, siblings: brother, Jesse Middlebrook (Norfolk, VA); Mary Ann Middlebrook-Mukete (Abel) (Cameroon, West Africa); Khalilah N. Hanan (Fort Wayne, IN); and Louisa Joy Middlebrook (Noblesville, IN), brother-cousins, William Neely (Maggie) and Darryl Osborne, his brother-in-law, Dallas Walker of Fort Wayne, IN, and also many nieces and nephews including a cherished "namesake" Lloyd Eldridge Sally. He also leaves behind a host of cousins and childhood friends from The Lake and beyond.

Lloyd was a man who meant the world to so many. While his presence will be deeply missed, those who knew and loved him will carry with them the lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the quiet wisdom he shared throughout his life.
