PURVIS "BO JACK" KENNEDY

SOUTH BEND - Purvis "Bo" or "Bo Jack" Kennedy Jr., 58, of North Kenmore Street, departed this life on November 24, 2007. Purvis was born to the union of Purvis Kennedy Sr. and Freddie Lee Kennedy on August 21, 1949, in South Bend, IN.
"Bo Jack" attended Harrison School as well as Washington High School where he graduated in 1969. Bo had a passion for football and track, he also served in the Armed Forces (year).
Purvis was employed at Raco Manufacturing. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and will truly be missed.
He leaves behind to mourn him his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Purvis Kennedy Sr.; three sisters, Bobbie J. Potts (Johnson) from Detroit, MI, Helen J. Smith and Cathy B. Lewis, both of South Bend, IN; three nieces, Theresa Johnson and Fran Kennedy, both of South Bend, and Carmen L. Ruffing of Fort Wayne, IN; one special great-niece, Ashley R. Shaw; two nephews, Thorn L. Lewis Jr. of Niles, MI, and Dion Johnson of South Bend, IN; aunts, Agnes Ashford of Detroit, MI, Juniece Shell of Chicago, IL, and Dairy Sykes and Katherine Moore, both from Memphis, TN; uncles, Samuel Kennedy of McCool, MS, and Hughie Kennedy of Philadelphia, PA; five great-nieces, 11 great-nephews; one special great-nephew, D'Mortez Cole.
Purvis was preceded in death by his little brother, Graydell Kennedy, and his nephew, John Johnson Jr.
Services for Mr. Purvis will be Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007; visitation 11 a.m., funeral services noon in the Grace A.M.E. Church, 1211 Vassar Ave. Burial will follow at Mishawaka Fairview Cemetery. The Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
