John Franklin Vogel

Granger, Indiana -- John F. Vogel, 82, of Granger, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at Regency Nursing Home in Granger.
"Jack" was born January 14, 1924, in Mishawaka, Indiana, son of the late Carl W. and Helen Vogel.
A 1942 graduate of South Bend Central High School, he attended Indiana University. Jack was a decorated World War II veteran, serving with the U.S. Army in the Battle of the Ardennes and Rhineland in Central Europe. An accomplished artist, he was a Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed Notre Dame football. Jack was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mishawaka.
He is survived by a cousin, John Harper of Cannelton, Indiana.
Graveside services will be 1:00 PM today, November 9, 2006, at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Ron Bowman officiating. There will be military graveside rites by the burial team VFW Post #360, Mishawaka. Huber Funeral Home in Cannelton, Indiana, is handling arrangements.
