Kennis Eugene Jenkins

Kennis Eugene Jenkins was born July 2nd,1954, in South Bend, Indiana to Edward and ZD Jenkins. He passed on February 2nd at 11:25pm at Orangeburg Medical Center in Orangeburg, SC.

Kennis graduated from Washington High School in 1972 then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he received an honorary discharge. He worked many jobs including being a Truck Driver, but his love was being a car salesperson.

In 1973 in South Bend, IN Kennis was united in his first marriage to Jackie Sikorski. One son, Shawn Jenkins was born. In 1996, he married Karen Stewart, having two sons, Kennis E. Jenkins Jr. and Kenslee Jenkins.

Kennis is survived by his children, Shawn (Andrea) Jenkins of South Bend, IN, Kennis E. Jenkins Jr., of Myrtle Beach, SC, Kenslee Jenkins of South Bend, IN, and Dorian Boone of North Carolina. Granddaughters Manhattan, Lexington and Dellancey Jenkins from South Bend, IN. Nevaeh and Arianna Boone & Gabriel Smith all of NC. Siblings, Jawel (Al) Lemons, Forney, Texas, Wilma Taylor, South Pasadena, California and Harold Jenkins, Indianapolis, Indiana. He also leaves a host of loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and ZD Jenkins, brothers; Carl Jenkins, Wardell Jenkins, Lawrence Jenkins and sister, Shirlene Jenkins.

Kennis enjoyed motorcycles, race cars and basketball but his biggest passion was golf. There will be no services per Kennis' wishes. The family wishes to thank the staff of Orangeburg Medical Center for the exceptional care.
