Thomas Michael "Mike" Foley, age 70, of South Bend, IN died at 12:17 a.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at Hospice House in South Bend. He was born on May 28, 1943 in South Bend, IN to the late Thomas E. and Dee Bee (Lane) Foley.

On August 12, 1967 in South Bend, IN, he married Susan Ellen (Kimmel) Foley, who survives. Also surviving, are two sons; Sean (Cindy) Foley of Worthington, OH and Kerry (Cindy) Foley of South Bend, IN, two grandchildren, Emmett Ace and Adeline Etta Foley, a brother, Patrick Foley of Indianapolis, IN and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mike received a BS degree at St. Joseph College at Rensselaer and a Masters degree at Notre Dame and received additional educational degrees. He retired in 1999, after 38 years of service, teaching English, French and Latin at Washington High School. He enjoyed teaching and was the first soccer coach at Washington High School and coached several academic teams. He attended St. Matthew Cathedral in South Bend, IN.

A Memorial Mass for Mike will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2013 at St. Matthew Cathedral, 1701 Miami Street, South Bend. Final resting place will be at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the church. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend is handling the arrangements.
