Claudette C. Leszczynski

South Bend - Claudette C. Leszczynski, 88, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021.

Claudette was born June 18, 1933, in South Bend to Ted and Stella (Krol) Chwalek. On October 15, 1955, Claudette married Stanley Leszczynski. He preceded her in death on May 24, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Richard & Ted Chwalek; and sister, Josephine Wegenka.

Left to cherish the memory of Claudette are her children, Steven (Pamela), Kenneth (Carol), Larry (Sioban), Mark (Elsie), Nancy (Steve) Kershaw; grandchildren, Jill (Zack) Cress, Eric, Sara, Kevin, Michael R. (Diane), Robert, Daniel (Lindsay), Patrick, Katie, Rachel, Michael, Matthew; as well as 5 great-grandchildren Noah, Grant, Carter, Dylan and Jordan; as well as her sister, Gerry (Richard) DeGraff.

Claudette was office manager for Delta Star Electric until her retirement. Claudette was always up for a game of cards with her family. She enjoyed reading a good book and doing challenging puzzles. She was a good cook, homemade chicken soup on Sundays was the norm and kieflies at Christmas time was her specialty. Over the years, she kept in touch with her high school friends, and they would meet monthly for dinners around town. She was a sports fan and followed Notre Dame athletics. Overall, she was most proud of her family, and we will cherish the memories of Claudette forever.

Claudette loved her family. She was always interested in what family members were doing and what she could do to help. Claudette was also a devout catholic and had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm, Saturday, December 4, 2021 in Holy Family Catholic Church with a one-hour visitation prior to the Mass. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., South Bend IN 46619.
