Elizabeth K. (Vaszary) Flood

August 1, 1920 ~ June 29, 2020 (age 99)

Elizabeth 'Betty' K. Vaszary-Flood passed away peacefully at Signature Healthcare, Bremen, IN on June 29, 2020.Elizabeth was born to Hungarian parents, Julius and Anna (Papoi) Vaszary of South Bend, IN on August 1, 1920.

She graduated from Washington High School in 1938.She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and a life time member of the Rosary Society. From her first job at the Blue Ribbon Pie Shop in South Bend, IN with various jobs in between; until her last job at Mathers Bridge Restaurant in Melbourne, FL; she was a very dedicated hard worker.

We made her mad We made her sad We made her happy We made her glad We had her for all these years Now all we have is memories and tears Thanks Mom you were the best.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Steven and Julius Vaszary, sisters Anna Vaszary and Rose Prigge. A daughter Kathryn Gasko, grandson Andrew Varga and her former husbands Edward S, Gasko and Larry Flood.Surviving is a sister, Mary Anne Casavant of Melbourne, FL. Her daughters, Rosemary (Richard) Siatkowski of Mishawaka; Barbara (Lewis) Whitehead of Bremen; Linda (Debbie Rowe) Gasko of Mishawaka; Judy (Steve) Toombs of California and Joyce Crawford ofBremen. Also surviving Grandchildren are Chris (Melissa) Varga; Stephen Whitehead, Heather (Richard) Tuttle; Toby (Janet) Gasko; Tara (Chris) Galante; Aaron Crawford and Katie Gasko. Surviving Great Grandchildren are Megan, Emily (Andy Chavez) and Jacob (Angel Meyer) Tuttle; Benjamin and Samuel Varga; Lucas and Gracelyn Gasko; and Sidney Varga (Andrew Varga's daughter).

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Dominic Catholic Church, Bremen, IN or to Asera Care Hospice, 5405 North Main St, Mishawaka, IN, 46545.Funeral services will be July 10, 2020 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Bremen, IN at 12 (Noon) with Father Fernando Jimenez officiating. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM. . Masks will be required and social distancing guidelines will be enforced.The family would like to thank the staff at Signature Health Care for their kindness and care of Elizabeth.
