SOUTH BEND - Ronnie Seward, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend of many, departed this life on May 7, 2021 at the age of 66.

Ronnie Seward was born in South Bend, Indiana on February 11, 1955 to the union of Callena and James Seward, Sr. Ronnie graduated from Washington High School and then went on to work for and retire from Honeywell. He enjoyed fishing, loved sports, and his family. He also enjoyed his community and never met a stranger.

Ronnie accepted Christ and was a member of the Mount Caramel Church under Pastor Taylor.

Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife: Tracy Seward; his mother, Callena Seward-Irby; his five children: Deon Griffin (Nikeya), Shawntay Seward, Ronisha Seward, Ronnie Seward II (Lisa), Deron Weatherspoon and one step- son, Brian K. Lewis, Jr.; eight grandchildren; Daisa Griffin, Deon Griffin, Jr., Deondre Griffin, Dreya Griffin, Jordan Diggins, Amari Kyle, Ramya Seward, Abrianna Lewis; and three great-grandchildren; siblings James Seward (Jennifer), Linda Seward, Marilyn Seward, Jackie Erby, Ricky Erby(Kimberly), Bernard Irby(Debra), Debra Givens(Dennis); Carmen Seward, Janeth Johnson( Maurice), Victor Seward, Derrick Irby; as well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews who all loved him well.

Family members preceding him in death were his father, James Seward, Sr.; stepfather Archie Irby; two grandmothers, Viola Seward and Rosetta Shine; two brothers, Jerome Seward, Sr. and Keith Seward; three sisters: Carol Seward, Geraldine Irby and Carmen Seward.

Funeral service to be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 1620 S St Joseph St, South Bend, IN 46613. Friends may call on the family for visitation for one hour prior to services at the church. Pastor Rickardo Taylor will officiate.
