David White Obituary
David L. White was born in South Bend, Indiana to Mr. John. and Mrs. Jean White. He graduated from North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He departed this life on October 7, 2020. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, as a radio operator, at the age of 19 and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He served three years and was discharged with Honors.
After his tour in the Marines, David studied at Ivy Tech Community College. He earned his Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in 1999 to pursue his career as a truck driver and later became a CDL instructor with C1 Truck Driving Training School.
David enjoyed teaching and building relationships with his students and peers. David was a huge fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, and Janet Jackson. David literally never met a stranger. His smile was contagious, and his conversations were lengthy and never-ending. He was silly and witty and always kept you laughing. His interest included on-line gaming, watching football, motorcycle riding, playing with guns, and spending time with his family.
David was a thoughtful, devoted, generous, and loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, friend, and church member who treated everyone, even the newest acquaintance, with the respect and affection of a friend. He was a friend to all, and his humor, generosity, and kindness will truly be missed. His wonderful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: Terrance Peace, DeShawn White, Terry Davis, Dominique White, David “Peanut” White, Lamont “Mouse” White, Ja’Leel M. Jones, Jimmy L. Haywood, and Bobbie (his bird); his parents, John White and Jean Anderson; his siblings: John “Biggie” A. White Sr. (Charlene), Yeremiah “Red” White, Frazier D. Gilbert, Jermaine R. White ( Alora), Jeremy R. White, Tonya R. White, Shakiyah T. White, John White, Jr, Bethena Mashelle Lenoir, and Joseph U. White; and many other dear relatives and friends.
