Barbara Irene (Teeter) Atkinson

A memorial service for Barbara Irene Atkinson of Clackamas will be 1 at 2 p.m. Monday at Peake Memorial Chapel in Milwaukie. Mrs. Atkinson died Friday, Oct 21, 1988, at her home of cancer. She was 50. 

Mrs. Atkinson was born on May 28, 1938, in South Bend, Ind. She graduated from nursing school in Chicago in 1959 and moved to San Francisco two years later.

On August 31, 1963, she married James Atkinson in Mission San Juan Bautista, Calif. She moved to the Portland area in 1968. Mrs. Atkinson worked for a few years as a nurse at Dwyer Commu#nity Hospital & Medical Center in Milwaukie in the early 1970s. She had retired from nursing and was a homemaker at the time of her death.

She is survived by her husband, James, sons Scott and Gregg, all of Clackamas; brother James Teeter Jr. of South Bend, Ind.; sisters Janice Teeter of Los Angeles and Sandra Dziubinski of Upper Pennisula, Mich.; and parents James and Evelyn Teeter of South Bend, Ind
