Eugene R. "Geno" Lechtanski

Eugene R. "Geno" Lechtanski, 46, of 733 S. Meade St., died at 8:29 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack.

He was formerly employed with South Bend Toy. Born Oct. 4, 1937, in South Bend, he was a lifelong area resident.

On May 10, 1969, in South Bend, he married Gloria Lewandowski. She survives along with a sister, Linda Brewer of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Robert J. Lechtanski of Warner Robins, Ga., and David Lechtanski of Belton, Mo.; and his mother, Victorial Lechtanski of South Bend.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Adalbert's Catholic Church and with burial following in St. Joseph Cemetery, Friends may call from noon until 9 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home
