Richard Thomas DeGraeve
Richard Thomas "Rich" DeGraeve, 60, of Sebastian, died unexpectedly Oct. 11, 1997, at Sebastian River Medical Center. was born Aug. 11, 1937, in Mishawaka, Ind., and moved to Sebastian 32 years ago from Kissimmee. Mr. DeGraeve was the owner and operator of the Cowboy Corner, Sebastian, for 11 years. He was a member of the National Rifleman's Association, the Single Action Shooters Society, the Port Malabar Gun Club and the Florida Knifemakers Guild. He was a former member of the Sebastian Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Squad and served as an officer with the Sebastian Police Department and was a member of the Sebastian Planning and Zoning Commission.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Joyce; two daughters, Lisa Klein, of Cocoa, and Amanda White, of Tampa; three sisters, Barbara DeGraeve, of Dallas, Patricia Williamson, of Glen Ellyn, Ill., and Carol Wenzel, of Granger, Ind.; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian. The funeral will be 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, with Dr. Donald Swope officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the National Rifleman's Association in Mr. DeGraeve's memory
