George J.Cooper

George J.Cooper of Watauga, Texas, formerly of South Bend, Ind., passed away on Thursday, June 24. He was born on July 17, 1937, in South Bend, to George and Lottie (Moshinski) Cooper.

In 1960, in Elkhart, Ind., he married the former Wanda Chaney, who preceded him in death on Jan.12, 1997.

George had been a computer programmer for Edward Lowes Industries.He was a member of the former American Turners Club and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in South Bend.

Survivors include his son, Eric (Mary) Cooper of Keller, Texas;his grandson, Nathan Cooper; his brother, Ray (Gerte) Cooper of Mesa, Ariz.; four nieces, Judy Decker, Myrna Perry, Cathe Huse and Sharon Duncanson;and a nephew, Ronnie Bahnsen.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.on Wednesday, June 30, in the Forest G.Hay Funeral Home.Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m.today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of George J.Cooper to the Alzheimer’s Association.
