Cheryl Diane Horn

July 29, 1946 – July 23, 2004

Cheryl Diane Horn, 57, bravely and graciously endured the ravages of A.L.S. until she passed tenderly and gently into the care and presence of her heavenly family on Friday, July 23, in Cave Creek, Ariz. Cheryl was born in South Bend, Ind., on July 29, 1946, to Fred D.Horn Sr.(who preceded her to Jesus in March 2004) and Alice L.(Bourdon) Horn of South Bend.Also surviving her passing include her brother, Fred D.Horn Jr.(Marquetta) of Mountain Home, Idaho;and sisters, Joylene A.(Thomas) Barnes of Cave Creek and Kathie Jo (David) Graham of South Bend. Not long after graduating from Washington High School in 1964, Cheryl began a career with Associates (now Citigroup) in South Bend.

Cheryl moved with them when their offices relocated to Chicago, Ill., and several years later to Irving, Texas, where she completed a 37½ year career. Cheryl was active in Meals on Wheels, via Citigroup, in Texas. As a member of the 1st Church of the Nazarene in Irving, she was dedicated to her friends and church family. A memorial service will be held in South Bend at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug.14, in her home church at First Brethren Church of Ardmore.Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.All of Cheryl’s family and friends are invited to join us as we celebrate the blessing Cheryl was to all who knew and loved her. Messengers Mortuary at Pinnacle Peak, Scottsdale, Ariz., is handling arrangements
