In Memory
Rose Ann (Marroni) Edstrom
Granger, IN – Rose Ann Edstrom passed away on October 18th, unexpectedly after a brief illness, in Memorial Hospital. She was born in South Bend, IN, on November 24th, 1947, to her parents, Donato and Angeliona (Valenti) Marroni. On September 2, 1972, she married Kenneth Edstrom, her childhood sweetheart who lived next door.
Rose Ann went to St. John’s Grade School, and graduated from Washington High School, in South Bend, IN. She later attended Michiana College of Commerce. She worked for her brother’s business, South Bend Vending, and stayed on with Snyder Vending after her brothers sold their business. She found her calling as a car salesperson and retired from the Harold Ziegler dealership in Elkhart, IN. After retiring she volunteered as a board member of the Wellington Lakes at Knollwood, Homeowners Association. She was also, a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, where she volunteered to help serve funeral dinners.
Rose Ann enjoyed having a beautiful yard with flowers. Her home always looked like a magazine picture. She enjoyed cooking, and was good at it, always trying new recipes. She enjoyed going to the movies. There was a special place in her heart for her fur babies and they meant everything to her. Previously, she had a couple of exotic birds, and dogs Lilly and Zero who have passed. Hamish Mcfee, a West Highland White Terrier is her current dog, that was a rescue dog. The little guy is certainly missing her. All her animals were so lucky to have them as their owner!
Rose Ann was the last surviving sibling of the Marroni family, and our Matriach. She was a great wife, sister, aunt and friend to many. Her special love and cherished memories will forever be etched into the hearts of our family and her many friends. Rose Ann’s caring attitude was radiant. Family meant everything to Rose Ann. Her endless love and support were evident in all aspects of her life. We will all be forever grateful for her strength and inspiration that she provided to our families. Rose Ann had such a big heart, always providing a feeling of comfort and security when in her presence. Her feisty personality was full of spunk and energy, which made it fun to be around her. She had the ability to make everyone feel special. Her legacy will continue to inspire the generations to come. For all the people whose lives that Rose Ann has touched, knowing her physical presence on earth is done, her love will always surround us, and we hope that she feels the love we hold in our hearts for her in return. May her spirit continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were blessed to have known her.
