Richard Kasznia
Richard Kasznia, 76 years old, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at his residence in South Bend. Richard was born on January 21, 1948 in South Bend, to the late Benedict M. and Sophie A. (Manijak) Kasznia.
Left to cherish the memory of Richard are his children, Richard M. Kasznia, Jr., Ronald D. Cobb, Steven G. Cobb, and Linnea Cummings; his grandchildren, Michael Kasznia and Maria Kasznia; his sister, Linda Kasznia; his brother, Gary (Joan) Kasznia; and several nieces and nephews.
Richard proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He served in the Strategic Air Command in Nebraska where he was tasked with handling top secret information. Richard also loved fishing and going to car shows. Above all, Richard loved spending time with his friends and family.
Visitation for Richard will be held from 2:00-8:00 pm on Monday, April 29, 2024 at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., South Bend with a Rosary to prayed at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, 2505 W. Grace St., South Bend with an hour visitation prior to the Mass at the Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
